I am trying to decrypt the drive so that I can do a factory reset on the machines, and start from scratch. Neither machine has ever been added to the domain, so I have no way to reset the password using AD. I do know the TC password for each drive, but one won't boot in to Windows as it crashes during boot (and I can't restore/repair Windows while it is encrypted) and the other lets me get to Windows but the person has left the company and not told me the password for their Windows account (and the admin account password isn't any of the standard passwords I've ever been told about).
I've had 2 laptops returned to me which were encrypted before I joined this company, I have done some digging but I cannot find any rescue disks for these laptops.
